This is most likely do to the advanced state of his growths, his old age, and general sickness. this happens just as they reach the sea in this new unknown land.

with out holyman's guidance the group has nothing to do so they simply set up camp once more and wait. unfortunately his condition dose not change until 2 years later , also it changes for the worst and he passes on leaving the whole group in this one spot.

During the wait the group had started to build a small city , mostly because there was nothing better to do and they saw it would be a while before anything happened.

The massive group of traveling followers was essentially a mobile community and with that it needed protection from Creatures, bandits/highwaymen and civil unrest. Merari oversaw the groups militia which was made up mostly of ordinary citizens.
As I talked about in the previous post, The holyman is covered with large horrible growths. He hides them with ornate robes, heavy clothing , and a friendly decorative mask. The large bumps found over his head and back could be seen as rare virus or plague.

However this condition has a strange up side. The infected host while loosing all ability to be presentable, gains slight supernatural powers were ever the infection is most prevalent.Roberthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01386037917076778010noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8372614456376711195.post-52383729234830674212010-10-14T15:06:00.000-07:002010-10-22T10:40:56.670-07:00

In order to put together a interesting view of the city, I needed to come up with a history.

The founder was the first person to consider for this story. In general the city would be started by a large band of people all following one man far form there homes and out in to the wilds of this their world. This one man simply named "holyman" ( unless/until a better name is created ) is the center of my attention right now.

He started out as a normal human with perhaps something that made him stand out , some kind of large hat as it were. this seemed a little scary, he should be someone the people want to follow. Robes were the next obvious choice but they felt sort of boring.

I played around with him a bit more and it started to turn ugly. I considered what he would look like with some large gross bumps and weird "horned" growths, but again this was horrible and scary. However this turned in to my final design -- the large plague like bumps all over his body were just that , but they had a beneficial purpose.

And then I covered it all up with robes to keep the common folk from flipping their wigs.Roberthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01386037917076778010noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8372614456376711195.post-30126930890905001552010-10-14T14:39:00.000-07:002010-10-14T14:39:09.945-07:00Start it all off. This is where I'll be posting all the images and information created for my project. In general I plan to create an entire city over the course of this college year. Because I am so good at coming up with names I went with THE CITY OF THESUS because it's my year long thesis and It also has a nice ring to it.
